Roger Oldham, President of the Professional Bartending Schools of America, stopped Tuesday night in Knoxville and visited the Professional Bartending School operated by David Edwards. Roger had a chance to meet the new class that just started and listened in on Victor, their evening instructor lecture at the start of class. Victor has been with the school 3 years and has much knowledge about the industry as well as the drinks. The Knoxville school has done very well during these tough times and David attributes his success to his commitment to finding his graduates good bartending jobs.

David also successfully directed the Knoxville campus from 2000 to 2005. During that time, David placed over 95% of all of his Knoxville graduates and the Knoxville campus was also awarded the “Instructor of the Year” in 2004.
David has been very successful directing bartending schools in the last 19 years. The Nashville campus has been awarded “School of the Year” 12 times out of 19 years. In the last 5 years, the Nashville campus has earned “Instructor of the Year” awards 3 times. David has averaged over a 95% job placement rate since he opened the Nashville campus in January 1992.
The Knoxville campus is excited to have David and the highly recognized job placement department led by Randy Jansen taking over campus operations and job placement responsibilities for the Knoxville area. In the last 3 weeks the number of job openings have tripled since Randy has overseen the job placement department with the help of the On Campus Job Placement Director, James Kish.
David has a simple philosophy when it comes to running schools. He works with every student until they finish the program and graduates and then he works with every graduate until they find a bartending job that they like. That’s why in 19 years of being a school director he has never had one complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau.
The Knoxville campus staff and past graduates are excited to have David back at the helm of the Professional Bartending School of Knoxville. Cheers and as David W. Edwards’ personal motto goes “Success is Never Accidental”!
